Breakfast with Santa
It is a long-standing tradition to offer up a hearty breakfast to the St. Anne families and invite Santa and his helpers to the festivities! On either the first or second Saturday in December, St. Anne School transforms itself into a Christmas wonderland! Vendors gather to offer homemade crafts and other items, baskets full of treats and goodies are raffled off, and along with enjoying a warm, delicious breakfast, children visit with Santa and receive a photo to commemorate the occasion. All the proceeds from this anticipated event are used to provide the graduating Gr. 8 class with a special send-off at the end of the year.
Student Nutrition Program/Better Beginnings, Better Futures
Items from 3 food groups are served every morning to all students at St. Anne. Various dairy, fruit/vegetable and grains are delivered to classrooms at the start of the day and students may help themselves. We thank the Student Nutrition Program run through Better Beginnings Better Futures for their support, and our volunteers who make this important opportunity a daily occurrence at St. Anne. Students thoroughly enjoy the bagels, yogurt, bananas, smoothies, pears, apples, cereal and milk, cheese and crackers and the various other foods provided throughout the year!
